Kagemane.net is a domain meant to regroup fansites related to Naruto. It was purchased with NameCheap in February 2007 for no particular reason, other than the fact that the name was available and that made me happy. It is hosted by Surpass and it's a part of the Calm-storm Network.

So, what is Kagemane, exactly? Well, it's taken from Naruto, as you might have guessed, and it's the name of the first technique of my ever-favourite manga character: Nara Shikamaru. It means litterally Shadow Imitation and it is used to block and control the opponent's moves. Very useful and meant to be used by smart people...

Now, why Kagemane, you ask? As I said, it's Shikamaru's technique, and not only do I find it particularly useful and creative, but it's also classy. The idea of controlling shadows sounds very interesting to me, that's probably why I like it so much. And since I wanted to create a Naruto network, I jumped on the occasion.
